About the design
Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Harbourside town 2 hours north of Sydney, recently voted one of Lonely Planet's top 10 cities, surrounded by beaches, but if you're not into that the cafe's are hard to beat too.
Once mostly a coal exporting harbour and a dying city centre lined with vacant, decaying buildings, now home to an ever growing & developing artstic and creative population helping to ressurect the city centre with innovative projects, to name a few:
Renew Newcastle - connects artists, not-for-profits, etc with property managers, setting up temporary shops, galleries and studios in otherwise empty buildings.
This is Not Art - annual national festival of new media, art and writing.
Look Hear/ Look See - Talks and exhibitions by artists and desigers.
TedXNewy - Bringing Ideas Worth Spreading to Newcastle.
My design is a little tribute to the creative revival of the heart of this city.
