I like it. I like the placement, I like the choice of colors. Perhaps it's a bit big. But definitely a 4 and buy.

I like the print colors on the khaki. The balloon string is a little funky. Dude, do the paper airplane shirt! I'm done. Peace.

awww. I think you should move the boy down to the corner. that might look better. but its cute. i remember those days of letting go of balloons outside and them flying away leaving me crying.

I saw a movie called the Red Balloon. It was a movie in which the kid just chased his balloon all over the place. This could be a sweet tribute to it if you changed it to a red balloon. I would definately buy it then. Looks great though.

I based the 4 colors off of that green background color. It used to be a selection for shirt colors - and I wish it was now. If I wasn't stuck with 4 colors, I would have probably done red - but I think the black fits too.
I agree - the string is kinda funky - I might fix it up later. I think I would rather the boy be in the bottom left corner - although I've played around with it and it just looks weird if the balloon is too far off. The position now is really just to show the colors against each other. |

I agree. I might re-submit it with different color combinations if that'll get it printed. I was kind of hoping Punching the Pope would stop by and insult it - oh well.

WOOOOOOO! This is absolutely awesome! Buy and a 5 whatcha! This is so cool. Just the message it sends and the essence of the loneliness that is captured in the lack of color and the boys figure. The total use of shirt creates an overwhelming feeling of distance and separation. Lovely stuff my friend. First rate, really. Lyrics are good, too. And, the remembrance of the movie is captured without the color and reminds people of it as it is. For the shirt, I say the blue or crimson!

i think that whilst the dull colors kind of represent the mood and emotion the poor kid is going through

please dont be mad if my suggestion is stupid, but what if you just did a plain horizontal across the chest drawing, kinda where the boy is on one side and the balloon is floatin away to the other, and i duno im stupid

I think the shadow just looks like a hole the boy is going to fall into.

This is one of the few shirts that doesn't get a zero. But, I think it could use some work. More detail in the figure and a rework of the shadow would help.

thanks root-2. I really appreciate what you're saying, but I've been tinkering with the image incessantly and have found that extra detail just seems like clutter. At least to me, anyway. I've cleaned up the shadow a bit, but then I think there's a certain point where I should just quit messing with it - cause nothing I can do will make it perfect for everybody.

I don't really like the shadows, particularly the one beneath the balloon. At first I thought it was a hole that the kid was going to fall into.
