This remake (of a design I did for the 2k10 Challenge) is based on a 2001 Mockumentary short by the same name. The film makes a humorously argument that municipal efforts to remove graffiti has actually produced “a movement in modern art stemming from the repressed artistic desires of city workers.”

I started reworking this design after watching the Banksy documentary Exit through the Gift Shop (2010); then last week I found out there’s 2011 documentary about citizens who ‘illegally’ removal graffiti called VIGILANTE VIGILANTE: the Battle for Expression. Weird coincidence or new movement? Regardless of how you feel about graffiti this tee should spark a conversation that either begins or ends with someone saying “cool shirt!”
