clever but it just doesn't look good. even though I know it's miyamoto's face, I can't tell that those are eyes. I don't think I'd wear this but it's easily a five for the idea alone.

i think he's distracted by the fact that the lines connecting them seem to make large empty spaces between the eyebrows and eyes that look like very wrong eyes.

this shirt is awesome, a brillant idea. the eyes are prefect, but it would be really expensive to get nintendos premission to print. they have an insane legal dept.

Not a copyright issue. The controller doesn't say Nintendo. Shigeru miyamoto's face isn't copyrighted. Just because the controller resembles a Nintendo controller doesn't make it a copyright issue.

Even if it did say "Nintendo," they probably would have little to no interest in a company that is printing less than 500 t-shirts with a reference to 20 year old 8-bit system.

i agree that there would be no legal issue, unless nintendo would be feeling like a prick on that particular day, they might care, even if it is 20 years old have you seen how much they are banking off the retro nintendo name?

You can't even tell this is Miyamoto. Crap design.

No copyright issue here; however, product design _can_ be protected through the IDSA. Nintendo would have had to file for protection at some point and prove that use of the controller imagry is still viably profittable for them. Nintendo is aggressive with protecting their properties through the IDSA but have primarily filed for protecting their characters, not console design.

This shirt might be okay.
