It's cute... I think it would be cooler without the turtle, with some other animal instead.. you know? Just some generic animal. Then, instead of a kind of cheesy joke, it would be just a totally random and somewhat surreal shirt, and I would find that funnier. That's just me though. It's still a nice drawing.

Why's the Turtle's name Tortillo? To me you're inferring a racial stereotype that Mexicans are slow and lazy.

i guess the text seems off to me.....if things are slow at work, i get a lot done, if its really busy, i dont' have time to finsih things. i know he's a turtle, but still....

I agree. I think the lack of question mark and crappy text style are beautiful. I'd buy it and wear it on a first date.

i love this shirt more in design than execution. It makes me think Friend Bear, White Ninja, Toothpaste For Dinner, and generally that whole genre of absurdly non-sequitur - and yet, sometimes, strangely sharp - MS Paint webcomics. And i think that style would work excellently on a shirt, but this particular rabbit-tortise scene doesn't really do it for me.

i like it because it's like a poor man's Gary Larson: hinged on the silliness of ironic characters in a mundane human environment.

But the trick to it, i think, would be to capture greater irony in the production. Keep the sketchy characters, poor punctuation, and even the white "inserted text" blocks. But tidy up the individual pieces. Create the characters in a nice photoshopping program, and force your sketchy style over otherwise crisp lines and shapes. Gloss it up a bit. Maybe even handwrite the speech. It'd be gorgeous in its rattiness.

First of all thanks for all the constructive comments, Couple of explanations:

1. Its meant to have bad puncuation.

2. The turtle doesnt have anything in his mouth - its his toungue sticking out.

3. The name comes from a small fluffy turtle I have at home. And definetly isn't a racial stereotype.

4. And yes things are slow today because he's a turtle!

Theres more to come featuring these guys and others, so I'll try and make use of the comments, thanks again.
