 I felt like doing a design based on the golden rectangle... so here it is. Anyone who says "it would be better without the text", I will literally shoot you in the face. I guess my main influence in this shirt is the neo-geo stuff from the 80s, but I guess you could take it all the way back to mondrian. Ok, enough being pretentious.

mondrian? neo-geo from the 80's? what do you go to pratt? risd? calarts? man oh man, using design principles on t-shirts is kinda pointless no? it's a t-shirt no one else gets that shit.let go. the rules will strangle and suffocate you dead. your just destine to repeat the past when you not only follow the rules but copy them. i can understand using good composition and a color pallette but geeez. what's this typeface? comic sans?

even though you are a design major or whatever, this isn't even a shirt. this is just five letters slapped onto a template and submitted in like five minutes. sorry dude, this doesn't do ANYTHING for me.

What are you smokin'? It might as well be comic sans, because its gawd-awful. I appreciate minimalism, I don't appreciate artsy-masturbational crap that displays no aesthetic, design sense, artistic effort or emotional appeal.

I might like it if...I don't know there is just something about it, I like the idea though, keep it minimal but maybe develop it more. I don't like the larger blue box though. Maybe if you want to go 80's try painful neon colors. I love painful neon colors.

the golden rectangle - when used properly - makes stuff look good - this doesnt. i like the idea of the minimal style mixed with the word clean but your designs not clean - the font is bad - the lines are crooked. itd look a lot better if you just drew the rsctangles straight ang through the text in there in helvetica or something simple - then it wouldnt be so... ugly and the arty types might appreciate - maybe

i look forward to buying this shirt and saying to everyone 'yeah, its basically a design based on the golden rectangle, but the main influences are the neo-geo stuff from the 80's...' and everyone walking away from me because i am boring with a t-shirt that has more concept than design. not everyone that buys t-shirts had a degree in art. and not many people that look at them do either.
