No, name tags go on the RIGHT side. That way when you extend your RIGHT hand for a handshake the line of sight is all on your right side. And if you are a handshake leaner, your right shoulder goes towards the person while your left shoulder goes away so placement on the left is incorrect in regards to etiquette.

Nonetheless I like the concept and would buy.
