The Four Seasons (one color version)
About the design
on March 1, 2005
There is a 4-color version of this on the way, I just figuredthat if people liked this one enough, it would be cheap to print. Anyway, this shirt represents the four seasons, eminating from the center of the tree which is spring- winter on left and summer on right. Please do not vote according to your preference on colors, as one color designs are very easy to change the color of. Really this can be done in any 2-color combination, which I am trying to show through the two background variations and other shirt colors. In other words, I ask that you not mark this down because you happen to not like white on navy- it's nearly irrelevant to the design. Thanks for looking!

"this shirt represents the four seasons, eminating from the center of the tree which is spring- winter on left and summer on right."
Where is the 4th season?
KEMMLER
by "spring-winter" I meant the progression between spring and winter, where fall is implied given that summer is represented on the far right... okay, that's confusing, but you can see the falling leaves anyway.

I can't wait to see the 4-color version.
sharpelly_scarew

its a scary face with a tree nose :(
DrinkMoloko
Nice, clean and simple. I like.
kalipest
it's boring
Kuffel
this is a very good design!
however, it would a little more interesting if the sun was a little smaller. the size is kind of overpowering.
existentialism
definitly love it the way it is.
renderedobsolete
i like it very much but on a normal basis, the size of clouds will dwarf our view of the sun. the sun is too big, as kuffel said.
jmonkey
like this so much better than the 4 colour version!!! make the sun look more like a sun - smaller - maybe with some rays
KEMMLER
just an explanation for the large sun- we associate summer with heat- I wanted to show an extremely large sun so that the heat would be very clear- a huge sun beating down on us. However I agree that it's probably too big.

God I hate the way you talk so much KEMMLER. You sound like a chai-sipping bastard. Nice shirt, 4.
And I mean that. A real bastard.

Make the ground under the tree smaller (not so much downward) and the whole graphic smaller too.
Otherwise, nice job.
KEMMLER
haha J-Estes... look at your own profile, you and your commentary on consumerism. As for me, I just took my contemporary art history class too seriously, I guess.
blolly
E* has a good point with the ground, but I like the amount of shirt it takes up.
Too Black to be EMO
this is very interesting, I think this would be a great design for threadless to make but they would change a few things and make something smaller and bigger such as the tree's ground and the sun.
I understand what your trying to say and I love the way you said it.
