as the design is a little weak. I kind of like the concept, though. Perhaps, shrink the king and queen. Very few people want any single object that large. Then nix the "mate." It's redundant. Think of some graphic way to say it, but not a heart because that's a cliche.

I love it!
Carmingular doesn't know anything, it wouldn't be funny w/ out the mate! c'mon! checkMATE?!?!? duh!

Im afraid that with those large graphics, that the ladies might get a little more then they need from this shirt if you know what I mean.

the design is tastey, i especially like how the entire pieces arent filled. And as carmingular said, try to display it differently without text or the typical heart and still get the message across.

awesome! I think having the MATES text is okay... I could do with another font, but this is cool as it is.

I like the text a bit. Maybe change it to just "mate" so it's got that "mates"/"checkmate" double meaning.

Definitely shrink the image and perhaps an Old English/Gothic style font would be more suitable for the Chess motif? Good idea though, if you could come up with a graphic image to describe the "mate" idea it would be much better.

Like they said, don't go cliche and use the heart.
