Whether it was about the true stories of inner city New York life, of living in a west coast police state, rap was an outlet for political change and blowing the lid off the Leave It To Beaver white america view that equality had at last been achieved. It was
also about having a great time with your fellow rappers, djs, breakdancers, and graffitti artists backed by a killer beat and lyrics boasting about how crazy-talented on the mic and wheels of steel you were.
Words, yo. Word!
ps: Also, we suggest to have 7 costumes: W, O, R, D, period and the boombox! - and it would be AWESOME to have a dog using the boombox costume :P
