I have known Barrie since 1998. It was then in my current job, working for the Health and Social Services department in Belfast, that we first met. I had been assigned to take an arts therapy class every Tuesday at the Ardoyne community centre and Barrie was my star pupil.
Barrie is 27 years old but has the mental capacity of a nine year old. When I first started working with him he couldn't even paint a sunny day. Since then however Barrie has come on leaps and bounds and everyone at the department and his little friends at the community centre are so proud of him. Winning this competition would mean a lot to him, not to mention what it would do for his confidence. So please, make your vote count and make a wee boy's dream come true!!! |

THIS T SHIRT DESIGN is PAINFULLY close to being really fine.
Unfortunately, the last line in the word balloon is too small, point size wise, and doesn't really have ending 'punch'. We recommend the last line in the balloon be removed. It would be even more powerful if the balloon held but one odd, short sentence, like "Wanna go watch meteor showers?" Try, try again! |

Two years ago, even a year algo, hell even six months ago, Threadless had lots of shirts that weren't so cute and cartoony with voice balloons and cuddly characters. They were cool. And interesting. This is flat and cartoony. Okay, okay--threadless should carry shirts like this this one. But they're almost all goofy and funny now, it seems. I can't find one damn shirt that matches the weird beauty and off-putting majesty of my abstract almost-unreadable "I heart color" or "Bat hat cat" film-scratchy black & white kids whispering to each other shirts. What the f' is going on, Threadless? Do these funny, cute shirts sell better than the more ambiguous ones do?
