FRICKINAWESOME on Nov 24 '10 haha, it's not desperation, I am cool with pop culture like i said if the pop culture itself isn't doing the heavy lifting and is something more timeless and not of-the-moment, which I don't think it is here.
Even though we were referencing the meme of IT'S A TRAP!, it's actually just a play off the movie scene from the end of Return of the Jedi. I have some pop culture collabs coming out both here and on MWA that I think use the reference as a jumping off point but then put it into a scenario that is more original and doesn't just rely on brand recognition. Maybe I failed here, it's a fair point RandyO, but obviously Davide did nothing wrong since the characters are splendidly illustrated :) Thanks for all the comments everyone! |
