The message is interesting but it is kinda weird not seeing a body without a tail beside it. Hrmph...

hits me with hipster irony like a brick. Very cute, and the line is kinda fun, but doesn't particularly stand out, very safe compostion and color scheme. If someone were wearing the shirt I wouldn't notice it was more than a cutesy skull and cross bones unless i made an effort. Good start, but it could be much more interesting with some more contrast in color and a scale shift with a focus on the text as it kinda gets lost with the image as it is.

I like the character. I agree with the majority, make it a tad smaller and it will be a lot better.

Too Paul Frank, new skool

OK, I've been processing and learning from all the critiques that have been posted so far, but the Paul Frank jab is just a little too cruel. I'm not a delicate person when it comes to my art, but that...that makes me cry inside...

I personally like the large skull, but for the love of god please pick a different shirt color!

one time a friend told me that he and his friends went to some kind of weird island with lots of squirrels. they brought one back on the boat with them and put it in a brown paper bag. they kept it in the bag the whole ride back and when they got to shore again they took it out and it was dead! the funny part is that it's tail fell off! apparently when squirrels and other rodents are in alot of stress they chew off their tails. i would buy this shirt and know about ten other people that would too!

The skull is indeed more than a tad cartoony. I think the message would be funnier if the shirt was a little more cynical and dark.
If that makes any sense.
I guess what I'm trying to say is maybe get rid of them bones and try making the eye holes bigger.

A bit smaller, but also... work with the text a bit, try to get a bit more creative there...

I like the concept; it's a little cartoony, but it's also humorous and kitschy.

However, I'm guessing that it's a play on "Dead men tell no tales." In that, it doesn't quite work. I mean, it does a little, but there's something... too disconnected from the original line.

But what do I know? Other people seem to love the text.

im tierd of people saying oh its so paul frank ... i mean come on he didnt come up with the skull and cross bones design he just made it to be cute just like that cup cake and cross bones just becuase skurvy is well known and liked dosnt mean people are ripping him off i think we need to cut some people some slack
good work on teh design by the way im diggin it i like it when the skull is modifyed in clever ways it kinda reminds me of the pop war bunny
