A lot of people seem to take this the wrong way. It's more or less a commentary on the sad state of affairs in the imperialized country, and how bad I feel for the people there. Like it or not, it's true that the people are being killed for sub-righteous causes. I'm a proponent of white tees, because no one else ever seems to be.

props for truthfully expressing yourself and standing for what you believe in..

I like it but I agree that most people wouldn't know how to take it's message.

yes it's so sad and unfair what those people have to go through.. and here, i too think that it's very likely that there'll be problems in the interpretation of this message.. how about you make a major change and get rid off the I and the heart; and instead of bombing the heart, bomb the Q which you have designed as a head. so the planes would bomb the Q ( the people in iraq) which would probably better show what iraqians go through and your point of view. think it might work...?

it looks too neat...i think this concept needs a more chaotic feel...maybe make the letters look as if they're getting knocked around and falling off cuz of the explosions...

whoever said this was too ambiguous needs to get a clue! Duh! This is a brilliant design. It makes me think of what a killing those shirt hockers in NYC must have made after 9/11. Everyone and their mom was wearing those I <3 NY shirts. THIS image really speaks to me. the planes on the left makes it really fresh!

it looks cool and I want to like it, but I think there's too much going on. I think the I heart iraq thing isn't working for me, it's not like that's a known symbol or anything, it brings in ny because that's what it's associated with and now there are bombs going through the heart.. does that change love to hate? does that mean you don't like iraq? I bomb iraq with love? I don't know, like I said I want to like it but just end up getting confused. even with your explanation.

maybe you should re-read the explanation again then. sorry. i feel like the message is clear. iraq is being ravaged and i love it, but not for the reasons the greed politicians do. originally, the drop under the heart was black, for oil, but i thought that was too subtle.
focusblur
focusblur on Jan 19 '05
wow. that came out wrong..."i love it" meaning i love the people, not the fact that theyre being ravaged.

You guys have no clue what those people went through before they were rescued from Saddam. Having bombs blow up around them is nothing new to them and is nothing compared to what they endured from Saddam and his soldiers. Give it a rest and quit believing everything you hear on the news.

Nice drawing though...3

mel boy sounds like he had some first-hand experiences in iraq. no?

fuck the news man. what a lame comment. i don't even watch tv. but i do read a fair amount of independent news sources.

give it a rest and stop talking trash over the internet.

who cares if people dont get the message thje focusblur is talking about? people can make up their own conclusions, and it will start conversation, which i think is important. id buy this! 5
