This design was inspired by some reading I was doing on the Bikini Atoll, a group of beautiful islands in the south pacific and home to some of the world's first nuclear tests during the mid 1940's. I was struck by the paradoxical image of peace and earthly paradise contrasted with the devastating destructive power of the atomic bomb.
I remember reading somewhere a survivor from Hiroshima saying the a-bomb exploding was like a "second sun" and this haunting description always stuck with me and I think makes a perfect title. This design took a long time to execute because I was going for very specific imagery. I used a couple of public domain images as reference and re-illustrated them, notably an old, Victorian greeting card. Thanks as always to NiNTHWHEEL for the awesome tee template. Sim process. Think this would be cool for both guys and gals and it works on quite a few different tee colours, below are some of my faves: High-res view of design Large view on creme Large view on dark grey Large view on mint! I love this design!!! It may not be your usual style, but it is a great direction to branch out into. Looks good on asphalt, but esp on the mint! In my mind, I am already wearing this..
