Robsoul on Jan 11 '05 your tee is better than Mike Perry's. Don't like the Phantasmagoria ... type solution though, maybe if that was hand done too, it might work if you used the same font but, again, hand done.

mike perry's tee is super lame and looks like a mixture of mtv fuse and vh1 ads. i like yours though, minus the uneeded text at the bottom. 5.

I do enjoy this tee but the thing that gets me going is the text underneath it all, it seems to ruin it in my opinion. I suggest to take it off or change it to fit in with the look.

I lovethe shirt but I agree about the text. It needs to be got rid of or changed into a style more in keeping with the rest of the shirt.

I love the randomness and definitely agree that the text could stay if it were handwritten to match more with the cute Napoleon Dynamite-esque doodle style. 5 and buy!

the white on blue is the way to go...and i make fun of people for always saying "loose the text" but in this case that definitely has to go, definitely hand draw it if you want it in there, looks like everybody for once agrees...cute drawings

i'm late, then. I think the text is the one thing that ties it together. it's so random and crazy, I wouldn't dare wear it WITHOUT the text. it's a good first try. Apparently, it'll be printed anyway, so kudos. mmhmm. |

This shirt is really cool, but the "phantasmagoria" text feels tacked on and totally unnecessary. Lose the text and it would be really cool.

Julsroxxx - how in the WORLD does the text tie everything together??? It doesn't relate at all. It makes the design very bottom heavy. It ruins the free-form feel of the drawings by having very exact, precise lines.

Okay, to clarify what phantasmagoria is:
1 : an exhibition or display of optical effects and illusions 2 a : a constantly shifting complex succession of things seen or imagined b : a scene that constantly changes 3 : a bizarre or fantastic combination, collection, or assemblage The inside joke I mentioned earlier is the driping paint brush in the upper center of the picture. The text as it is currently shown has been removed from the design. I want it to be replaced with a handwritten and much smaller version of the word to tie in the whole theme. The dog isn't saying "i <3 !" he is saying "¡ <3 !" |

still, get rid of the text at the bottom. less is more. text fux up a lot of designs. sometimes it is not necessary. other than that, i think its cool.

this is great imagery. not too sure on the text at the bottom though. i think it would work better without it. or maybe make it smaller and in a sketchy style like the drawings. great work for a first submission.

the doodling is fantastic. by now, it seems to be a given that the text is a problem. If you wanted to keep it, you could make it smaller and place it kind of slanted across the upper left hand corner of the doodling. The idea of doing it by hand is great too. Also, the shape of the design is maybe too linear, you have pretty square sides, like a piece of paper got transferred onto the shirt, but the shirt has no such limitations. I'd work on randomizing the overall shape of the "doodly mass".
