This is my first submission and also my first real attempt at designed a decent and serious print artwork. The idea behind this would be a little child soldier who's forced to fight against his own will. Therefor I gave him wings, to fly to freedom. The patch on his arm has the japanese letters 羽
化 (uka) which means something like "growing wings and flying".

In general it symbolises everyone who feels overpowered and has a limited freedom.

I know I won't win this contest, but I just wanted to give it a try, this seems a great community with many talented people. Hope I can gain some experience here ^^

anyway i think its a great idea and nice design work, maybe lose the hair in front of the ears tho, the figure is kinda androgynous with it there. 5

The scale of the child and the gun don't match very well.

Nice story with the wings and all, I just am not liking it in the picture.

i think the wings could be better if say you placed a web like pattern on them in the white with black 'webbing' i dont know how to explain...like a monach butterfly wings just in black and white.

right now as is to me it seems like there is far too much contrast from the front image to the wings in the back.

I can totally dig the Illustration and the message behind it Anima, I salute you....I'd buy it!!
