About the design

uhh.. this is just gross.. sorry

tetsuo_cs

I'd score higher if the colors weren't so off.

I dig it otherwise.

orangelazarus

Yeah, bulimia is totally something that I want to support on a t-shirt.

beerg0r1lla

Yeah, bulimia is a very serious problem with some people. Putting it on a shirt like it's a joke just doesn't work. Sorry. Now if that was a cucumber instead of her finger... that would be cool.

McLemore

Excellent.

smashmethod

I had a girlfriend who was bulimic once, this shirt gets no love from me.

Zero.

emcaffiend

grow up heather, bulimia is so '87.

Lou Dog

what the hell
either shes being nasty
(bad girl!)
or throwing up
maybe in a teen flick but not on a shirt id wear but ill give you a three for the design

killerxcore

the hand looks a little too cartoon-y for the rest of the graphic... and the colors clash a wee bit.

hawly

i think the design is pretty cool.
i'd like it better if the face wasn't that pukey green colour... but then again it kind of works.

it's not something i would wear, but it's really original, and something that stirs up controversy is always a plus.

good work.

theslyestfox

i can't decide if it's no good because eating disorders are no laughing matter, or interesting. just because. though i wonder why her face isn't colored in.

sethmilchman

this belongs in a museum, not on a shirt

omniscient

Is she a little person?

SNLObsess

Cousin is bulimic. Not cool.

amy8lou

ok. the point isnt to skate around what makes people feel bad. Theres a shirt with a guy being attacked by bees on it and thats how my father passed away. but i still supported the artist b-c it was a good idea. and it was real. so just b-c you dont like the subject matter dont be rude to the artist. ITS ART. what about all the suicidal shirts??? cmon people.

l.a.i.n

i don't feel this either. and yes, it IS because of the bulemia aspect. yes, there are suicide and other shirts featuring such controversial subjects that i do support. its not so much hypocrisy, i think, as social context. as much as people may not like it, suicide is romanticized in our culture, as are some other forms of violence. hence, it may be a little more acceptable to people. i can't see the art in bulemia. sorry.

_neonplatypus

ew. no. don't joke with eating disorders, man. ew ew ew. (sorry.)

imperfectedjen

dont listen to what their saying. i think the shirt idea is AWESOME. buliemia is something not to put on a shirt, but isnt a lot of shirts we find on this website? i think it sends out a powerful message, and THERE IS ART IN IT. lovely

AshtrayDiet

I love it, i'd definitly buy it if the colors weren't so...ugly.

Yeah, the colors really kill the picture.

woopdidlydo

dude bulimia is not somthing to be supported

incurock31

I think it's a great design.
5.

xtallicfusion

at first i thought it was sexual.... but bulimia aint cool either.... i wouldnt wear it but i think it was a unique illustration.

Ash Sammy

illustration little fizzy.
maybe refined and scaled down.

krstendavenport

not that i dont like it because of its subject.. but its done horribly.

chosing controvercial topics its like a hit or miss thing with clothing. it can either be really awesome, or really bad.

this one just isn't good. sorry x

batuka

I'd have to agree that the image could be improved. I think making the girl more beautiful would make the messege more concrete. Let us see how incredibly ironic it is that this girl in your image has an eating disorder. Let us see her perfect body and get rid of the green face. Also moving the image to a different part of the shirt might be better. When images are down at the botttom of the shirt they tend to not be seen real well. I don't wanna wear shirts about eating disorders or suicide (which, by the way, is not "romantic" and is a hell of a lot more disgusting then and eating disorder!) because I think they're funny topics, I'd wear them to wake people up, make them realize that life should not be taken so seriously. I have experienced being a victom and friend to people who have commited suicide and had numerous life-threatening disorders. All of them had one thing in common and that was that they took themselves and life too seriously. Not talking about tragic events doesn't make them go way! I also find it hilarious that people thought this shirt was cool when they believed it was sexual. Like it's okay for girls to be seen as sex objects on shirts, but as soon as things get to be a little too real , it's "gross!"

jessikapowza

i thought she was just sucking on her finger...

Frates

I think everyone is making was to big a deal of this. Yes, I know eating disorders aren't to be played with and such, but it's a shirt. Get over it. I agree with batuka the whole, "people shouldn't take life so seriously" deal.
Good job, I love it. I'd buy it.

MahiMahiHead24

"HAHA" was my first impression...it's obviously stirring up some issues with angry people...that's greeaaat! But seriously. cool design...i even like the color for some reason...though the issue that it brings up is NOT cool....it's original...me like!

hurleylovesyou

bulemia is not attractive.
it's a disease and should not be broadcasted on a t-shirt.
i do not like this concept. sorry buddy.
better luck next time, without eating disorders.

tommcphd

Eh, I get your message (reminded me of the scene in Elephant..), but it's really poorly executed, the face and the jaggies in the drawing. It's kind of unappealing. I'm sure it'll get a ton of votes, though, unlike my shirts, just because of the controversy surrounding it.

molly jas

The graphic is cool. Maybe the position of the graphic can be at the centre and minus the ripple line at the back.

peg leg

WOW you guys vote for Bush too, enough of your attempts at censoring, stop taking things so personally, did the guy say he made the shirt to encourage or to demean those who are suffering from an eating disorder

tek-mind

hahaha, this is amazing...it kind of reminds me of that story in "stand by me" when that fat dude drinks caster oil a barfs blueberry pie all over everyone and they all barf all over each other and then like 50 people are all barfing all over everyone...whew.

its the shit ;-) i like your designs keep it up.

jamiethomas4

This is crazy good. Ignore the comments on color.

seekew

batuka you hit the nails firmly on the head.

full support, the irony is not lost on me.

laugh at life and all it's glorious idiosyncrasies

also love the fact that you’ve sparked so much chat and that the subjects of suicide and violence have also been addressed.

Someone please do a shirt of animals being hurt. I want to see how the idoits react to that one.

Hey, then do a cool oil rig drilling in Alaska and killing the planet.

Couragegirl76

I really don't think its bad. Maybe its not to be supportive, but its truth. Its not a disease its just some kinda sickness that woman and men develop from the disgusting people in this world.

dancingqueen10

This is horrible. I'm sorry, but you can't joke about diseases like this. I was bulimic this is not cool sorry! Couragegirl it is a disease. The reason it's a disease is because it has to do with imbalances in the brain. Why don't you not try making an untrue decision about something before becoming educated about it. Try suffering from an eating disorder then see if you still think you're right!

I mean, I am not laughing at you being bulimic- but bumping this sub after 3 years is humorous.
