i dig the idea and its execution, but the "shut up" door tag is a bit too small to be legible.

Nice but lose the shut up tag. It's not necessary. The size can be reduced all together, too.

This is freaking me out, not the t-shirt, the fact that "the panel" are allowing stuff through that breaks the submission guidelines (too many colours, printing over the lines, etc.) and rejecting other stuff.

The T is great, and would also work with 4 colors no problem (maybe that's why it got through?).

I think you actually have six colors--blue-silver, dark blue-silver, black, and three shades of the orangey color. But you could probably get rid of one of the oranges and one of the silvers really really easily. Otherwise I really like it.
