igo2cairo on Aug 15 '10 This is one of the trees I sketched while in Taiwan at my dad's home in the countryside. I swear this tree is haunted because it makes some very strange sounds at night, especially when the wind blows through it. Now at night it gets really dark there, so dark that the light of the moon really makes a difference. This is probably when all the ghosts come out too, but I like to think they're friendly spirits looking after the trees on the property. :)

Aled - I totally agree with you and not sure why I did it. I had sage as a background when working on the colouring so it's specifically designed for that. I think it could work on cinder too but I'd have to alter the colour palette. |

I absolutely love this. :D I adore the ghosts coming out of the trees (and the bunny ghost behind it, and the owl ghost in there too, hehe). I think this is one of my favorites of your illustrations. :) I want it printed now and I would wear it almost every day, even if my water bill would go up with how much washing I'd be doing. lol In short, $5 multiplied by a billion. :D
