the drips are what makes this good. i know drips are on everything but this time they actually work.

see, i dont think the drips work at all. they're there just to look cool and it fails. now if you made it look like he really was melting (postscript), which would be cool, then it would make sense. otherwise its just a good illustration that's ruined by an overused effect.. . now that i look at it, i'm thinking he might be 'spray painted' on. if thats the case, i still think the drips are over done. be subtle about it.

Personally I really like the drips. Who cares if a style is played out, if it works for your image and it's what you really intended on doing then go for it. I think that it worked quite well in this and if the image were small I'd definitely by this shirt.

The drips need to be there, otherwise it's childish. Drips may be overused, but they are very effective and cool when they are used right.

i've seen this bunny drawing in a children''s book somewhere. except it had eyes and wasn't oozing.

eh, the drips don't help much. it still looks like an infant's 1-piece.

Not a fan of drips, and wouldn't buy

It's pretty though.

I think the drips would work on a different colored shirt, where the contrast might be taken better. Having the pastels on a yellow shirt just screams "melting peeps".

you may want to adjust your monitor.

thank you all for the comments/criticisms but,
the "Runny Bun" design has the street art
& gallery crowd in mind rather than the
comic book/cartoon network kids.

sorry if you don't get it.

What the f*** is that supposed to mean?? Sounds kind-of pretentious to me. Don't worry so much about trying to appeal to some elite hipster group and make something you care about. Dick.

I think you're appealing more to the hipster ten year olds. Graffiti Bunny, WICKED BAD!

i like the whole... spray painted thing. and the drips coming down it's face looks like it's crying. that combined with its creepy smile and no eyes makes it really creepy, in a good way. maybe a brick coloured or concrete coloured shirt for a bigger "street art" effect?

I like it.

Alot of these people though criticising everyones art, or being assholes about it haven't ever submitted anything though.

Maybe if you add drips to your design people will like it more because they will think it makes some sort of statement.

Or maybe I will call you a fag.

virgil_wyld
virgil_wyld on Dec 16 '04
it doesn't remind me of street art, just on account of theh black outline being very clean and coloring-book looking. maybe if the outline had some of the drippy messiness of the rest of it...i would think street a bit more.

I'm gonna have to disagree with the majority of the people here. I love the drips. I think that without the drips, this design would be rather plain..

Instead of drips, make them kinda messy spraypaint splotches. Maybe add a happy eye (like a carot ^)
