This is awesome, absolutely love the colors. 5 and buy.

xpostscript has a good idea. If you have the flowers cut off along the silouhette line that the roof makes, it'll make it more noticible and not just like a white scribble. If you did that, you'd probably want to adjust how the flowers move too.



As it is, Its pretty cool and i'd still wear it.

overall I really like it.

I recognize that the white line is the roof of a pagoda, but only after you explain it.

It should be recognisable immediately, or else it's not working.

Personally I would love to see the rest of the pagoda drawn in.

I think it might look better that way, then just completely removing the outline.

It's cute and well done. The concept doesn't really do anything for me. I have begun to feel turned off by Japanophilic items. That having been said, this one is really nice, and I particularly like the cherry blossoms.

Hello! I appreciate everyone's comments, though boreas, I'm not sure exactly what "Urban Outfitters not 2K meant". I like a lot of Urban Outfitters stuff so I sort of took it as a compliment but I don't think that was what you meant ;). What in particular do you suggest to make it better? Most people seemed to be confused by the roof top. That's understandable. I've been thinking a lot about how to change this. I spent about an hour just investigating different ways to change it, but in the end I decied to try something Belenen and sighfoo mentioned and tried a more detailed looking rooftop. Now this design is one of my first designs submitted to Threadless so sorry if I do things non traditionally :) do I resubmit an idea with changes? Well, for now, I will just send you a link to the new rooftop and if you guys don't mind clicking on the link, I'd like to hear your feedback. Thanks :).

Also, I guess I did the intro wrong because it never came up :). In case you were wondering, Mameha was a geisha from the book, Memoirs of a Geisha, by Arthur Golden. I really liked the character. She was supposed to be just incredibly beautiful so I tried to create a scene of her wandering through the streets of Gion to the next tea house. But, since everyone has different ideas of beauty, I wanted to make her a siloutte so you could place on her your own idea of a beautiful woman. I also like doing things minimalistic. I'm glad you enjoyed it :).

I love this design. The updated design with the more detailed pagoda silhoutte looks beautiful. I don't think I would buy this shirt in baby blue, but I may put aside my intense dislike of the color for this design. If you offered it in a few other colors I would most definitely buy it right away.
