FRICKINAWESOME on Jun 16 '10 Ingenious coloring, subtle yet highly meaningful drawing. 4$ Thanks Evan, I'm glad it makes some sense to you, was worried I was being too subtle. Don't know if an explanation is needed but I'll give one anyway. The roots below were meant to represent death/decay, while the flowers blooming above and splashes of colour represent life/energy. The winged scarab was thought by Egyptians to represent the Sun, which in turn represents heaven/god. In most depictions the winged scarab holds a shen ring (eternity) in it's claws, but I thought appropriate in this design for it to be holding a clock face instead, depicting the scarab as the "keeper of time". I also wanted to suggest by the clock gears built into the scarab that it contains the internal mechanism that drives everything , hidden from view. Because the scarab is winged I came up with the title "Time Flies" as a way to refer to the way time seems to move! Ha ha, sorry for the lengthy thesis, I know it's just a tee design .:) |

I can't lie, was a little disappointed with the score, although this has actually been selling pretty well as an art print through Society6 so that's some consolation. :) |

Your work is so amazing. It's almost discouraging when I see the difference between your work and mine. You should be making paintings and wall art not t-shirts.
