There is suposed to be text saying monkey revolution which is on the other version but I accidently submitted the version without text. So, no, it is not mocking feminism.

I guess my first submission isn't going over too well.

This makes me laugh, but mainly because I have an actual shirt with Rosie the Riveter on it from the Veterans' Museum. The money is kind of creepy, but I have a few things... There is a bit of shadow on the thumb that looks like a nail, therefore making the thumb look really short. Also, what is the circle on the forehead? Lastly, how come the face is that of a gorilla but the arm is still human?

needs clarity... and maybe a better design. this is for feminism, not revolution. do some homework

mmm I did do my homework... this is a symbol of the female revolution, they came out of the home and did the work men did. Just because I have a different view doesn't make me wrong.

Good god, That is hideous.

Like the concept, although I'm having trouble with the illustration. Looks kinda like the autotrace tool in illustrator was used, at least thats what the style reminds me of. I would loose the stroke on the inside shapes. Also is the monkey suppose to look like he has a hole in her head?

All drawing was done by hand and that 'hole' in the head is actually a ring of fur. because of the four color limit i had to omit the gray shading i had originally planned and use the shirt color instead (see arms and 'hole').

robots are so overplayed I didn't want to have ANOTHER shirt with a robot on it.

The shadows on her fore-arms are th colour of the tee which doesnt work for me.

gorillas are not overplayed, but monkeys are. this comes across racist to me, and i'm sure it wasn't your intention but that hurts it. also your negative space on the monkey is puzzling.

I guess no one here knows enough art history to be aware of the Guerrilla Girls. Female artists movement protesting the lack of female artists represented in museums (and other things) yet featured dominantly as the subject matter in museums. Believe it started in the 80s but I'm lacking sleep so may be off on that.
Anyway, this t-shirt reminds me way too much of that group.

I think its freakin funny! I would wear it because it has a monkey on it. also because when i was little i watched planet of the apes a bunch of times.
