I think it's an ugly shirt but a really good idea
There was a discussion once on threadless about a design with a swastika that wasn't funny at all. This is an example of how to use this imagery without looking stupid or without offending people. Well, there's always someone going to be offended but this idea is excellent and sarcastic so therefor I give you a 5 but I still don't think it's a good design |

Also, try to do something other than a few point and click, photoshop filter moves and actually create something. I understand that you can't be bothered to really try, but the people who actually know what they're doing can see that this just isn't good.
You obviously have a desire to create something edgy or funny, so use that. Anything worth while is worth spending at LEAST half an hour on. |

I think it's a hilarious shirt, and frankly I'm glad someone has the balls to be un-PC for a change.
I'm getting so sick of PC this and don't offend that. People just need to learn to take a joke. Also the fact that there are cases of hitler being a little queer anyways! As far as the swastika idea...I think it's sad that one terrible regime can ruin a symbol of a positive nature. I wish there were some peaceful regime that would come around, use teh swastika and bring it back to what it means. It's such a cool looking symbol, and it could be worked into a whole lot if it weren't for the negative connotations. ...anyway. Learn to take a joke. |

I don't think this image reads as "hitler was a queer." It just looks like there's something wrong with his hand, like he has lost his ability to salute. Also, with that non-rainbow-looking half-circle thing instead of the swastika on his arm, it's hard to even place him as a Nazi. I think it would help a lot if you upped the detail, and possibly even started with a different image that would be more clear, and lent itself more to queerness.

If you want it to read as Hitler is a queer, just have him getting fucked by a dude in a gimp mask or something. go all out. really offend the pro-Hitler crowd. I like the magenta on yellow. it makes it all the more festive.

It's not being against homosexuals either, or Jews, or Nazi's, it doesn't even seem to take a side. If any of you would pay attention in history class you'd realize it was HIGHLY HIGHLY speculated that Hitler was gay. This is just a play on one of histories mysteries.

It's done lazely because I realize this will not get printed. And fyi it's not a filter I just turned up the contrast erased the non black and changed the black to pink, that simple. I just liked the idea and wanted to see the response so whatever. I dont really care if someone is gay or a fag or queer or whatever the fuck you call it it doesn't matter a fag can still take a joke just like I can so those of you who are complaining are retarded and to much of an ass to just take a light hearted joke.

I wonder how many clansmen in the forties told their black victims to "take the joke". It's funny if you're comfortable with homosexuality (well - it's actually not that funny at all) but it's obvious that too many people aren't when a decent, loving couple can't even get married in 11 states of our "free" country. I don't care if you aren't offended by it - other people are. If you really think you're so much better than someone else that you have to tell them to "loosen up and take the joke", you've got a lot to learn. Go tag a police car or wear a shirt with George W. with a dildo in his ear, but why perpetuate what any idiot can tell would not be taken as a joke by most people? |

It's not a joke, its history The Have and szrhands. Instead of learning to take a joke, people should learn facts in general. This has nothing to do on the morality of homosexuality. I'm as liberal on the issue as the next guy, but it has nothing to do with it, and certainly isn't a shirt to make your political agenda.

I don't really care about Pezzz's interpretation or intention, it's all open to interpretation =) I would wear this shirt. If some PC bleeding heart liberal has an issue oh well, and no I'm not some conservative either, I'm all for gay rights and everything else, so its not a mean hearted view.

Okay okay, looking beyond the point that this shirt has the two things that people freak over when you place them on a shirt; Homosexuality and Nazism. The shirt is actually kind of funny and yes, ironic. Hitler’s plans also called for the execution of other minorities in addition of the Jews. Plus making a shirt that stated Hitler was a Jew would not have been as graphically hilarious. But I have to admit that poor old Hitler has defiantly come to symbolize all things bad and that it misrepresents homosexuals. Perhaps change it to Churchill?
