I like the mask, I agree with thesurfacing, don't need the blood. you could have something else coming out of the mask, be creative.

If you must have blood, maybe it's crying out of the eye holes. Otherwise leave the blood out. Also, maybe something other than circles behind the mask. Maybe a pattern that portays chemical weapons or something? And maybe play with size and position.
