Based on the music video "Dig" by Incubus. A sim process design that deviates enough from the music video to be original, but ties in similar elements so the original inspiration is recognizable.

Its a nice illo, but it doesn't really remind me of the video.

Really??? It has the same color scheme and same vibe except the roles are reversed, but in one of the other versions of the video the guy digs at the girl so I drew it from that perspective. I didn't want to copy the video so I made it less cartoon-y while maintaining the same key elements (the lovers, the heart, the essence of nature, the color scheme, etc.)

Never seen the video, but this contest isn't about replicating something in the video moreso as inspiring you in theme or even emotion with its music/image combo to create something the artist deems connecting to the source video inspiration.

very nice original design would like to see more shading on the ppl an i would lose the heart

Hmmm...I thought about shading the people more, but I wanted there to be enough of a contrast between the people (who I want to pop) and the lily/lily pad elements. I didn't want the design to be all one note, I wanted to have multiple levels and juxtaposition. Thanks for all the opinions so far!
