Let me get something straight. Firstly, I was listening to the song ' Children of the Revolution' by T.Rex and this design was meant to be a play on those words. I guess I could have pictured a couple of kids holding a cricket bat and a tennis racket but I don't believe that would have illustrated the idea of a revolt. Secondly, it was never my intention to promote the idea that kids should use guns or go to war however the design is meant to be symbolic of kids standing up for themselves; having a voice and being heard. I don't condone the use of violence but as adults, we can't ignore the fact that many children around the world live in constant fear and oppressive circumstances. The kids in my design are jumping for joy; happy to finally have their freedom. That said, thank you for taking the time to comment on my work and I'm sorry if you find my design offensive.
at first i thought the two girls were shooting each other and the two went down in slow motion. i guess the graphic might be ambiguous in a fantastic way; it makes people think and re-think.
lol@ celebrating the end of war by jumping up and around with their guns.
I get where you were going with this piece, but yeah, people aren't gonna see that when looking at this design. I like the boldness of the image, but if you want to clue onlookers of your design in on the war is over part of the design, maybe have another child in the distance holding up tot hesky a white peace flag.
