If the design gets printed, I will pick my favorite story among the ones which made the printed version win, and give the author 100$ of Threadless gift.

Donc voilà mon histoire:



Les 4 pirates étaient dans le bateau depuis déjà quelques jours (le syndicalisme de l'époque rigolait pas et avait envoyé ces pointures à la dérive...)



La nuit s'installe doucement sur l'horizon et nos 4 barbus ont soif...Ils savent que le manque d'eau peut rendre fou et ils savent aussi que si l'un d'eux vient à mourir il en feront un gueleton de roi...



Le premier à craquer c'est barbe-rousse qui plongeant la tête dans l'eau pour boire ce qu'il croyait être un sirop d'orgeat se fit tirer du bateau par un poulpe qui venait de tomber amoureux de cette barbe digne d'une poulpette affriolante...



Le second fut barbe-verte qui lui avait distinguait dans les remous une sirène qui lui tendait les bras...ce n'était en fait qu'un lamentin un peu plus sexy que les autres, n'empêche qu'on ne le vit pas remonter à bord de l'embarcation.



Il ne restait donc que barbe noir et barbe blonde...encore une fois ces deux couleurs capillaires se retrouvaient en confrontation.



Alors que l'ambiance était tendu, barbe blonde se jeta violemment sur barbe-noir qui fut éjecté du bateau sans autre forme de proces, il essaya bien de remonter mais comme en informatique: un coup de ram(e) bien placé ça résoud souvend les problèmes...



Il ne restait donc que barbe blonde qui se disait quand même au petit matin: "Fais soif quand même..."

Je suis pas sûr d'avoir tout saisit du pourquoi du comment, mais les lamantins ont besoin d'amour eux aussi :p

It's cool that you've created a variety of colors and ideas for the beard, it's a nice gimmick, but I've seen this beardy idea many many times on Threadless, and a dead fish scale on my tee isn't something I think that really enhances a shirt's wearability, lol. Keep it up tho!

One stormy eve, a fearful crew of four were counting their pieces of eight over a tankard of grog. They were Captain Blackbeard, first mate Barbevarech, second mate Barbarossa and the cabin boy, blondbaard. These four scallywags were greedy souls, and inbetween sips of drink each licked his lips while thinking of his companions stash. The captain, Blackbeard spoke at last. "Mateys", he said, "I propose a drinking contest, the scallywag who can drink the most grog takes the treasure and the ship" They all accepted, and four mighty tankards were placed upon the old oak table, brimming with the finest grog. So they drank, and they drank, and they drank some more. Young Blondbaard was the first to go, his youthful arrogance could not match the might of mead, truth be told. Next was Barbaravech, he preferred a spot of wine, and he too succumbed to slumber inthe face of a mightier drink.

And so it was, Blackbeard and Barbarossa were left, each staring into the other's mad, drunk eyes, gripping their tankards tight. The time between drinks got longer and longer until, at last, they both fell, drunker than any pirate had ever been. By this time, young Blondbaard had sobered up, and was considering what he should do with the drunken sailors, before they woke up early in the morning. And so, in true pirate fashion, he steered a course for cutlas isle, threw the others overboard, and made the hoarde his own.

The funny thing is that the 3 guys who wrote a story all chose Blondbaard as a winner, meaning that if it ever gets printed and not blonde, nobody for the treasure :p Nah, May be I'll more fair than a pirate's soul, who knows :p

Funnily enough I was inclined to chose Blackbeard, as I'm english, but the idea of the young one being sneaky and beating the others lent itself to the desciption of the characters :)

A random question - what software and equipment do you use to design/illustrate? - i'm pretty tempted to get a wacom as i'm starting out.

Hehehe, that's still very english of you to make the french guy the big loser of the story :p



I have a Wacom I love (a basic A5 Bamboo, got it for like 50€), but since a month or so, it seems to be broken. The USB cable was distorted so I thought it would just be that, but replacing it won't fix it :( Anyway, you wouldn't regret it.



The thing is, because I can't use it anymore, all my recent designs were made on paper with a good old pen or a thin Posca, scanned, cleaned in toshop (with the mouse :( ), and then generally I convert them to vector in Inkscape (freeware) and clean them again, and finally add the colors. Of course, presentation pictures are made in photoshop. But what I do outside of threadless can also be pure photography and toshop, or pure toshop.



God, I should read my stuff before posting, so many mistakes :p
