About my design

This is an eight color design intended for AA's creme color shirt. This idea originates from the saying �The eye is the window to your soul.� Each element in the design represents a piece of the woman peering into the eye. The child in the reflection is youth gone by. Medusa represents inner demons. The Mermaid is her joy. The Sphinx is triumph.

^I'm pretty sure FrickinEvan already noted that and decided it didn't matter to him. I'd also imagine the same is the case for most people who have commented. threadless has certain concepts they drive down to death. I see a similar flow with fully different concepts. They both anchor at an eye, but then, doesn't this site have like 100 "these two unlike things love each other" tees?

Or, put another way, if this shirt printed first somewhere else, threadlessites would be falling over themselves insisting Flowing Inspiration was different. I've seen that happen a number of times. insiders can do no wrong with far more similar concepts. Outsiders, on the other hand, should remain there.

This design indeed, like Adder said, anchors at an eye in a similar way Buko's piece does. I actually was hesitant to enter it here for that very reason. But I think the eye is really the only common denominator. Buko's is more about inspiration and creativity. I intended mine to be about introspection. I hope this isn't seen as any disrespect to Buko, because the case is greatly the opposite. He is one of my favorite artists here.
