i thought they were scrabble tiles at first, but yeah, make them wood-hued scrabble tiles on a khaki background and this would be 10x nicer.

People, how would scrabble work? In scrabble each block is a letter so it'd be 4 big blocks?...

^ no, it'd be the same. each letter would be comprised of multiple tiles.
