About my design

by misakaji
The surreal Cinderella fairy tale ending relies solely on her pair of glass slippers, so imagine what a disaster it would be if she did not have any shoes on the day of her ball!

i think that it is a really cool idea and very nicely executed!! what about if she had a pair of sneakers/trainers all tied on so they wouldn't fall off?? love the colours and drawing style!

Nice drawing, I think the trainers idea is a good one. She wouldn't have gone to the ball without shoes.

yeah, having tight sneakers on would be great. It's unique and ironic, and adds something to the image the viewer might not immediately see... unless they were bright red.

Yes, give her running shoes. That's the first thing I thought of. That way she gets away clean! Also, the lines don't give the effect of stairs IMO, maybe if you staggered them somewhat.

i like the idea, but at first glance, you wouldn't really understand this design...

thanks for the comments everyone :)

the running shoes idea is neat, but this design was made for the Toms One Day Challenge, which revolves around the theme "It’s hard without shoes".

Cinderella was one of the first characters that popped in my head because in a big way, her dream of a better life was fulfilled because of a pair of shoes (glass slippers). Those shoes had such an impact on Cinderella's life that had she gone to the ball without her shoes, there would have been no fairy tale ending

I love the faux-Disney drawing here, I just don't know if the concept doesn't come across if you don't see the slipper, maybe some glass broken on the staircase? Awesome stuff tho for the comp!

The concept made way more sense after you explained it was for the Toms challenge. Unfortunately you can't explain it to everyone that sees it... as an actual t-shirt on its own, aside from the challenge, I agree that Cinderella in the WRONG shoes would be funnier, and maybe the Prince looking put out by them - seems like she'd only be running away crying if he rejected her, and he wouldn't be running after him.

It is a good illustration and you've obviously got some skills.
