Your text is entirely too static for the dynamic nature of the rest of the illustration. Even with the smoke puffs leading up to it, I'm not remotely convinced in it's smoky nature. My suggestion would be to remake the lettering by hand in a more sinuous manner, and then apply a stroke to them that emulates the wavy smoky feel of the puffs.
The colors are what make this shirt amazing because I dont care for the illustration or the text. And I'd probably buy if just for the colors of the shirt also.
I dont like where the text is place though. It looks awkward. Did you mean for it not to be centered?
with respect to catt_32000, my feeling is opposite - nice retro dwg, but font doesn't suit [reminds me of what I didn't like about 8th grade girl-made fair posters - not that there's anything wrong with that ;)]
Yeah, but this is a looooong time ago, bro. There are plenty of these back here that wouldn't be printed NOW-a-days, but they were the thing back then. I think back then, I woulda' thought it was good, too!
