I might lower the utensils just a bit to make the top line easier to read. It's an old joke but this is a good execution. I really like the design overall.

I agree about the utnesil lowering, and maybe have a knife lightsaber and the fork top look lik an x-wing or something, a luke/dark vader white/black salt and pepper shaker on the side, etc. Still spiffy idea and presentation!

Thank you everyone for the comments. This was a fun concept to do and based on the comments I think that fun trranslated to the design. I was thinking about trying to work some bowtie fighter pasta into but wanted to keep the design simple, but who know, maybe there will be a sequel...

Years ago, I was working at a screenprinting shop and I wanted to do a 1 panel cartoon t-shirt design of a Rebel Alliance/Empire golf tournament and have a ghostly Obi-wan helping Luke choose the correct golf club: "The four Luke. Use the Four."



That inspired me to do a similar gag using "fork" instead, but I was thinking more long a Miss Manners theme. But I never came up with a design that I was happy with for either idea.



Cut to several years later, when I decided to design this shirt for Threadless and I chose to do the Fork over the golf theme.



When I arrived at the idea of a meatball Deathstar everything fell into place (except I had to figure out how to create good looking spaghetti that fit the style in Illustrator!)

i like the idea alot! the meatball deathstar is amazing. and the fork and knife placement is perfect. if you move them youll be able to read it better but then the whole look of the shirt will be messed up. great job!
