from the faq:
About once a month the Threadless staff will go through the top scoring submissions and choose a few of them to print. We use a lot of different judging tactics to come to our result including the total score, total promises to buy, number of colors in the design, and our own intuition. We also go through each design that we do choose and make sure there was not any cheating involved. We do this by looking closely at IP address and IP chains for voters and the respective scores given. Though the chosen designs ARE chosen from the top scoring designs, they are not necessarily the TOP scoring designs.

I guess that sort of explains.

Well, i think this was a misprint. This is the t-shirt that has sold less than all the other t-shirts that were printed at the same time.
The comments above isn't that great either, there are many other alternative t-shirts, that should been have printed instead of this one. The scores are often right in my opinion. It's like if you are about to design something, you can't decide all the attributes for that product, you have to ask people what they want, not try to think of what they want.

why did they print this????
