the repetition of shapes in the top and bottom and then left to right, the use of positive-negative imagery through color and shape, it's all much more complex and progressive than previous work.

good vs evil, yin and yang, but which is which? that's the magic of it--one has scales, the other angry but adorable owls, both seem to be carnivorous beasts! does this mean good is also evil and evil is also good? does it need an interpretation, or is it one of those works that defies description? this is truly art that stands on its own and evokes different feelings in every viewer.

About my design
In any case, perhaps this will be the year of the Figure-Ground Mind-!#*@, set loose in a more fluid devil-may-care sort of way. Or maybe this will be the year little globby teardrop shapes totally take off, if they haven't already...
Regardless, I feel like this year I will try to supplement my typical offerings with some more personal or otherwise self-indulgent work, with an added emphasis on color (pink is back again, by the way) and with a dash of Just Because. If nothing else, I think any strides I make in this regard will add versatility to my value as a designer.
