lame.

bad choice of font

too many words, too little point.
kurantfjords
kurantfjords on Sep 28 '04
Would you have a suggestion for a font that somehow aesthetically conveys the importance of our fragile ecosystems in a greater fashion that the one chosen? I don't believe that even one-hundred thousand shirts or designs could accurately depict the weight of how important environmental consciousness and protection is.

the type should be the same colour as the shirt... maybe.... ???

Meh, Idunno. I think the type is most appropriate.

"too many words, too little point."

I'll agree with that. I'd rather have it just be a bunch of random words. This whole save the earth thing is getting old and on my nerves.

But, the colors are all sorts of rad. Please make your next design with wonderful color choices as this one. :)

just make the T in the second "the" lowercase. awesome though. 5
kurantfjords
kurantfjords on Sep 29 '04
Yeah, that T was due to renaming (and forgetting) abotu the final render. : (

To be fixed.
Arjen
Arjen on Sep 29 '04
A little patronizing don't you think? Noone says earth is a renewable resource, we're all just ignoring the fact that it isn't. The leading is off, to tight. The kerning too, the letters slmost run into eachother but not quite, that makes it look accidental.
firehazard
firehazard on Sep 29 '04
i'd rock it in colors 2, 7 or 8.

and like dylanking said, lowercase t in "the" on the second line

if all the text was lowercase i would dig it more.

but its cool. i like the fat marker scribble in the back, but would like the drip outline things to disappear.

nice design. 4

i would like to see the black shirt, with the tree in black, as the shirt.

that would be my buy.

SeL_Oner
SeL_Oner on Sep 30 '04
try taking out the blue drip outlines, and make the text and tree black on a black shirt....and see if it works.

im curious how that would turn out.

SeL_Oner
SeL_Oner on Sep 30 '04
and the olive shirt..."ur fave" is sick. the blue outlines bug me tho. can you tell? lol. i would really buy it without the blue.

ok, thats my last comment.

stay up.

i like the fact that you think about this, but really no one is assuring us that the environment is renewable. everyone should know the environment is fucked yet eveyone just keeps on screwing it anyways.

good thought on the shirt, but really only one out of hundreds of people who would wear this shirt will know anything about saving the environment or caring about the environment or what a true horrible state it is in.

i hope that you yourself know about the environment and you are not just going along with the anti-system theme that so many young people today have, yet they are not even registered to vote.

aaahhh the venting......
kurantfjords
kurantfjords on Oct 01 '04
The anti-system trend is a terrible problem. The popular appeal to activism and liberalism contributes to detrimental dogmatism that will not only ruin the conviction of the environmentally conscious, but of all progressives. Look at our choices for president. Tweedle-dee, and tweedle lite. Anyway, I'm not going to really go off here, as this is not the proper forum, but I do my part. I lobby for environmental reform, I write, and write, and write. I take part in action against the abuse of the environment and animals when possible.

I actively abstain from any type of animal product.

Yes, I knew this shirt wouldn't win : )

The precise words are never said, that the environment is completely renewable, but it is abundant in implication, and this is what I am referring to. I believe that people justify their destructive actions by convincing themselves that our situation isn't as dire as it really is. This is also what I was insinuating.

"The environments that we extract product from are completely sustainable. Look at the fields of trees we're planting.. They will be of harvest-size in 2054"
