this shirt is pure genius! one of the most original I have seen!

this is very unoriginal. people have been using the black dot as anti-branding for several years. The grunge splotches don't match the clean form of the perfect circle.

For those concerned about "rip offs" or "copyright issues" - from the Adbusters page on Black Spot shoes:

"Open-source: Anyone can brand or co-brand their product or service with the blackspot, joining a loose alliance of thousands of other indy blackspotters."

Personally, I think this is a load of pretentious crap. Especially with the paragraphs on the back saying how important it is. If you want a non-branded shirt, just buy a plain one. I hate to be SO negative on a design, but this kind of thing infuriates me.

Instead of a black spot, you could have gone with a brown coiled design to signify the load of crap this shirt really is. If I wanted a brand free shirt, I would just go with a plain shirt. That way I could get three to a pack and still save money. Let's allow Threadless shirts to show their individuality by their designs and not by a paragraph on the back.

By creating a symbol for people who do not want to be branded should aren't you creating a brand? There is no way to create something brandless it will end up being a brand in itself.
