Great illustration. Poor whale.... the Whale Wars crew may rip this shirt off of people and burn it though.

I would take out the whale and place a dragon or sea monster in it's place, also let us see more of the sea ( right now it look's like Poisedon is wearing a skirt )

Yeah, I'd replace the whale too. To something more devilish and sinister. Poseidon's supposed to be the God of the Sea and I'm quite sure he wouldn't hurt 'em friendly whalies. Still-- great idea Alanis.

alanis on Jan 24 '10 thanks everyone for the votes and comments. sorry if some people found this design offending, or in poor taste, never realized it'll have that effect, my intention simply was to show Poseidon doing an ordinary task i.e. spear fishing, and i thought the analogy would work if i show a whale, coz it looks more like an ordinary fish,rather than a serpent or dragon etc. Im aware of the whaling issue, and never really intended to make a statement about it w/ this design. Hope this fun cartoon doesnt influence anyone into hunting these endangered creatures hehe

its so strange that we all find this slightly offending ay, because i completely undestand the concept behind it. I guess Tridon in the little mermaid wasnt much of a spearfisher though. compassion is more his thing...
