I love the concept. And it's true - if someone dug up my work 100 years from now, I'd be bouncing with happiness up in the nether-realm :D
plus it looks great on the tee. |

I too am glad you submitted this. So what if it incorporates a public domain image, it's experimental, clever and it works.

The subtle skull is amazing. Great work man!! wouldnt have seen the skull otherwise! nice |
|
You make some really good points. Really cool idea for the comp and you're right, it makes an awesome-looking tee! $5

You ripped this off. I've seen that very same picture in an old advert for cigarettes!
Check out mine! |

Great idea. I like the cigarette motif.
Any suggestions for mine? http://www.threadless.com/critique/60308/ARRR_gyle |

The nature of the original ad compared to public perception of cigarettes today makes the skull, imo, redundant.
I'd wear it without the skull. |

i like the design and i like the idea/point.. it's true, we are constantly re-discovering design from the past...

Don't listen to the naysayers! Who cares if it's an old image? You found it and you executed this wonderfully. I would totally wear this. 5$$$$

Kinda wish it was just the image, without the text -- I'm worried people may not see the skull and get the wrong idea.
But I'd still definitely wear this. |

Great Title. Due to technical restraints, I can't vote on this, but I like it. Looks nice on the shirt.

About my design
Far from ripping-off the original works, I feel it's a way of paying homage to these works and their artists. The way I see it; if people are reusing and getting inspired from my work in 100 years, I would have done something right.
Thank you for reading.
