Taking optical illusions to a new level in tshirt design. First: Don't strain too hard, just back away from your monitor. Second: YES. This works even if it isn't on a monitor. I printed it out to make sure. Third: Here is a link to a zoom of the goldfish Last: A super special thanks to Phil for creating an awesome flash presentation for this that I didn't end up using. Unfortunately the swf compression altered the illusion and took away from what was ultimately the focal point of the submission, so even though it was super cool, I didn't think using it was the best idea. ha nice idea! wish the cat was a bit more ferocious looking so it looks like the cat is in attack mode for the temptation in front of him/her.

well i didnt noe about the blog. The only reason I assumed you may have copied her is because I didn't see your submission up for score. I saw it later on after hers... any who seems like you'll get a better score than her (even though I believe her design is 10 times more better - the elf is really neat) because looks like you got quite a few "peeps" (i.e. you vote for me i'll vote for you thing going on)

If you're gonna give someone a brainache by wearing a ton of horrid vertical black lines, you might as well have one HELL of an amazing concept to go with it. I wouldn't wear it, and I don't even want to stare at it if someone else wears it, but I can't help but 5 this because it's so damned ingenious.

I never claimed to have invented optical illusions. But it's like saying I can't draw birds because if you google "birds" there are tons of pictures of them. I took an age old concept and developed it in a way I've never seen before by making it interactive. |

They can print a photo like this??? that is cool. I thought everything had to be an illustration? Or did you create the fish in photo shop cause I know you can do things like that. I've made a microphone before that is really cool.

I love it but how could the goldfish be printed? the fading/transparency isn't halftone or anything, it just looks like a photo that was smudged around the edges in photoshop. $5 just in case threadless can find a way around it.
