um.. my first comment references a farside comic with Einstein playing basketball.
Paul Newman brought out a range of mayonnaise products and the like in the mid 80s i think, with his head on the bottle. I thought that this logo was very much reminiscent of Paul Newmans.
I think the missing teeth is self-explanatory.
