I think it needs more work and color but I do like the way the grass breaks up the elephant and the general premise.

i like the grass at the bottom but i think the elephant head needs more work and some colour would be good - maybe to highlight a special/symbolic point of the artwork

I like the concept, but I agree it needs something more. I think if you wanted to keep the design clean and not add color, maybe play a bit with line thickness or some textures?
