This is the Dornier DO-X from 1929, the biggest waterplane of its time and the predecessor of the "Spruce Goose".
It had a capacity of 150 passengers, 30 years before any other plane could hold that much. It was the very first transatlantic scheduled flight, powered through 12 motors.
It was decorated like a hotel, complete with plush chairs, sleeping cabins, telephones and a birdcage.
Only 3 of them were built, but they all went MIA or were destroyed.
Great pic. It does kinda look like water, so maybe some frame of reference like birds to show it's the sky would help. But a great drawing with a lot of energy!
