i say ditch the blue, maybe try green instead.

i really, really like this and i don't know why.

it reminds me of something i said at [www.underconsideration.com/speakup] when the forum topic was about personal space and i said "maybe it's city life, maybe it's fear, it's probably just being pissed at all the people i have to be nervous around for reasons i didn't have before meeting them, but i've learned not to touch anyone without permission." i hate people that flinch when you touch their arm for emphasis or when you're trying to pass by them in a crowded bar and how they make me want to sit in a corner and drink by myself. cone guy, i get you.

Great vector work. Nice line variance. Good simple design that communicates it's concept well, but still remains obtuse. I like the black!

well done.

thank you for not ruining this design by using text.... you could've easily put some stupid work under the image to try and make more of a statement and totally screwed up the whole effect of the shirt.... so yeah... thanks for not doing that.

As people say the blue is a bit to "primary", tone it down and then it'll work in that colour as well. But, hell yeah, 4/5 and a I'd buy it.

I like this, a lot. The orange against the bright blue makes it really stand out. It's nice - kudos.

Hey, guys. This is the designer. Thanks to everyone for their feedback. I wasn't watching my account for a little while and then Threadless when ahead and snuck this into the running!

I had some comments attached to this originally, but I guess they didn't get processed. I just wanted to share that there IS a specific story and meaning behind the design that I was planning on sharing, but after showing it around to a couple of friends without explaining the design first, I got a lot of different interpretations. I can see the same thing mirrored in the feedback that the Threadless community has left. So now I'm thinking that it's just more fun to let people attach their own meaning to so the art can become more personal to them.

Thanks to everyone who has left comments so far. Keep 'em coming!

The blue and orange together remind me of Elmer's glue. I like it on the third color.

Definately like the black and, um, the third color, whatever it is exactly (I try never to guess, as I'm slightly colorblind). Great design, and not sharing the story behind it was definately a good idea.

i'm not impressed as much as every one else. the dude looks alittle stumpy. the cones are alittle ambiguous on the bases, not to mention its just one cone copied 4 times. i'm not trying to come across as an ass, this time, but i think there is alot of small things needed changing. I really don't get what this shirt is trying to say. is it supposed to be funny or teen angst?
Tom Brazelton
Tom Brazelton on Sep 07 '04
Different strokes for different folks, I suppose. But I'm not losing much sleep to the guy who comes up with sexual innuendo t-shirts using clip art.

Not trying to come across as an ass, but y'know what they say about people who live in glass houses...

i like it. i'd buy it. and if you've ever noticed safety cones they are standardized and all look the same. they're not unique individual snowflakes. they are safety cones. i like the different color options as well. choice is good.
