I was not going to submit this design, but a friend of mine convinced me that I should. I hope you like it. Everybody have a safe and happy holiday, and a creative, and productive new year.
This design is very dear to me. I grew up in pennsylvania, and I get homesick alot this time of year. Don't get me wrong I love living in southern cali., but I miss the changing seasons and the wintertime. When everything is blanketed in snow, and the reflection of the sun on the snow, causes everything to be so bright, and everything seems to be a shade of grey, or blue. I wanted this picture to be about sublety. Anyways I hope you like it. Have a happy holiday everyone.
Hi Folks, Please post comments, I truly want to know what you think of my designs. If you want me to check out your designs, add a link to your submission, and I will check you out. Have a great day folks, and a safe holiday season.
The trees and the arctic fox have this subtle and mysterious look. I think the house cat kind of doesn't fit, or maybe it's the yellow. It looks like a piece that was pretty but then you added too much. I think for sure get rid of the yellow at least. A big part of the subtlety is in the soft tones of blue gray and white, don't add any other hues in my opinion. And if it was up to me I'd remove the cat and add another wild animal that lives in the snow/forest.
Overall really cool though, I'm giving it a good score.
Thank You very much for the input. This picture was not originally designed with t-shirts in mind. This is actually kind of a depiction of a memory. I grew up in Pennsylvania and I used to own a Himalayan cat that looked very much like this one. I added the Little splashes of gold in the wheat, because when everything is blanketed in snow. There is always still little splashes of color here and there. Nature poking her head out from beneath the blanket. I adde the Gold to the cat so that he drew a little bit from all of the colors around him. I agree with you that the shirt probably would have a lot more mass appeal if I took out the cat and put in a wolf. I think all of your comments were great and make alot of sense. Maybe if it does not make it through I will alter it. I juist wanted to see how people responded to the subtle tones in this picture. Thank you again for your input.
