i'm digging this.... is that a mountain that the penguins are on? some of the details get lost, but i think that was done on purpose.

Thanks for the comments.

The 3 Penguins are to the left in between the persons head and pointing arm. There is also a duck too if you look closely in the middle. I was gonna put some exploding fireworks on too, but I don't think they conveyed well in the monotone design. Maybe if I submit this again, I will try it in 2 or 3 colours. I don't want to spoil the simplicity of the design though.

would be great if it were in vector. so we could zoom in to see the detail

get rid of the plane and the text. you don't need either, and the shirt would be much cooler without them

The Way Out is part of the title - ''All the stars were out... < Way Out'' The real stars are the people in the design. The people are pointing but there are no stars out to point to.

Hmmm...yeah, simple is good, but this looks kinda like a dirty photoshop image on a shirt, plus there is nothing striking about it that makes me want to spend cash and rock it...rolled snake eyes on this one, but keep trying.

Oh My God! Has anyone seen the winner of the $2500 competition yet?????

If no-one has seen it yet, its like a heraldic shield with the token lion and threadless written over it with a load of bollocks refering to cliches!
Here take a look for yourself - http://www.threadless.com/product/143.html
I don't know whos worse, KIDZ for designing it with threadless written on it, or threadless for picking it for shameless self promotion!

I think threadless has lost it with that one, it looks like something you would buy from a cheapy crap shop for a fiver!

Sorry but that's terrible, is there any way you can withdraw your submissions from this site?

As from now I will continue with my own label, threadless has finally been taken over by commercialism. I come on here because you get a lot of stuff that you wouldn't be able to get in shops full of over commercialised tack. It seems that threadless is heading that way now.

I totally agree with RepectToBurn. I thought this was at least a quasi-safe haven from all that commercialized B.S. that most of us Graphic Designers get jammed down our throats by the reigning corporate regime. As if it isn't difficult enough on a subconscious level that we have to whore our artistic talents out for money, we find somewhere that we deem a creative outlet for ourselves only to have it thrown back in our face by such a shameles choice on Threadless's behalf.

At least they have upped the prize money for the regular entries. That was a mature decision. Heaven help me with what I get paid, I could use that money anyway. Just keep creating and hope that your fellow artists make the best decisions.

The shirt they selected for the 2500 contest did get a huge score. So, it is still in part, the threadless communities' fault for rewarding such a blatently shameless piece of advertisment.

I keep checking threadless as I still have work on here. I have found another outlet for my spare time creativity though: Wear it with pride. This is a 1 inch badge submission site. At least with this site there are no shit submissions getting scored highly and winning silly money.

Some of the t-shirts on here are laughable; badges on the other hand are original every time because there are no benchmarks and no everyday rubbish designs to compare to.

RESPECT TO BURN to ctt, he knows what I'm talkin about, commercial rubbish that gets jammed down the throats of us 'true' creatives. threadless has sold out to money over matter! commercialism sucks, underground rocks!

Peace out to all who keep the dream alive... The Respect Will Burn On...
