i like the islands off center and small, the blue background is kinda difficult to see, but is still kinda cool how it is. i like it.
|
|
and also.... i like it being small, because then at a glance in close quarters, the only thing you'll probably be able to read is "Male" which has its own defining/topographical context.

Check out Envy in Newcastle, there's a brown t-shirt with a cream map of Hawaii on it, looks similar to your stuff. I still like your design though, has a nice quality to it.

Alot of text on a tee makes me dizzy, but the concept is good. Maybe size the islands and text on the front up a bit and give a more striking blue so they can stand out more against the background

I was actually thinking about doing as many obscure island countries as possible....
seychelles, cook islands, canarys, tonga, etc. |
|
you've been to Male's airport?
is it really like this?! i've been to several small random places and there never seens to be any indie-credible designs. |

Economy - overview:
Tourism, Maldives' largest industry, accounts for 20% of GDP and more
than 60% of the Maldives' foreign exchange receipts. Over 90% of
government tax revenue comes from import duties and tourism-related taxes.
Fishing is a second leading sector. The Maldivian Government began an economic
reform program in 1989 initially by lifting import quotas and opening some exports
to the private sector. Subsequently, it has liberalized regulations to allow more
foreign investment. Agriculture and manufacturing continue to play a lesser role
in the economy, constrained by the limited availability of cultivable land and the
shortage of domestic labor. Most staple foods must be imported. Industry, which
consists mainly of garment production, boat building, and handicrafts, accounts for
about 18% of GDP. Maldivian authorities worry about the impact of erosion and
possible global warming on their low-lying country; 80% of the area is one meter
or less above sea level.
