About my design

by kreinertsen
In case everyone doesn't know, the alligator is the logo of lacoste which makes insanely expensive polo shirts. I've tweeked the logo so it's not exactly the same but still looks very similar to their logo but I thought of the idea awhile ago and... here we are. hope you like it!

Insanely expensive polo shirts but you do get what you pay for. I've got 4 and I'd buy more because they are the best polo shirts you can get. I've had one since 1996 and it's almost a vintage design now but it's as fresh as the day I bought it.

People who dis designer clothes will probably never wear them and know what they are really like. They just jump on a bandwagon of idiots.

So as you can guess, I'm giving you a big fat 0 for being a total tosser!

I must leave now, I feel the need to punch somebody hard!

Are you sure you didn't just rip this logo from a "proper" t-shirt? You did not create this...

i like how a bathing ape replaced the polo rider with a mounted ape soldier from planet of the apes.

Whats wrong with wearing expensive shirts. You get what you pay for. Designer everything is better. I can definity tell a difference between $20 Wal-Mart glasses and my $500 Versache glasses.

Anyways this isnt threadless material. Go back to hot topic

Maxjb - Why should I stfu now?

Don't you want me to continue? Don't you want me to keep on how bad this total shit is? It's just like some loser who thinks he's a finished design product and can compete with the best of them even though he has no design idea whatsoever! Some complete dick who thinks that having a go at a well established label is going to get him a free ticket to a printed shirt!

I rocked my '96 Lacoste polo tonight just because of this shit submission, and you know what? I was coining Respect left right and centre... May The Respect Burn On...

Rene - You rock my polo world!

Polo shirts aren't even cool.

1. Anti-commercialism is overdone.

2. The colors look like crap.

3. If you're going to parody a polo shirt, why don't you put it on a polo shirt?

4. I wouldn't wear a shirt that said whore.

5. Most people wouldn't get it.

ok. mr scriff i did create this i don't know if there's anything out there like it but i definitely made the shape while looking at the logo to make it similar enough to make the point but not to copy it. and temerson, i guess you came the closest to "constructive criticism" and i understand the having "whore" on a shirt, that's one of the reasons i didn't make it for awhile. i also didn't know that threadless did polos or of course i would have chosen it. if anyone know of a way to have it taken out of scoring let me know...

what. the fuck. good job kreinertsen. I got it. And im not cool enough to have designer clothes. Im sure you weren't arguing the fact of quality of designer clothes, more like the status it brings and how people act about them. These people make me sick. Sometimes designer brands last, and sometimes they dont. There's no guarantee. Its just how you take care of things, and quality ranges from thing to thing. You cant just expect that if you drop a fat stack of cash you will get what you always hoped for. I agree with temerson with putting it on a polo shirt. it will help clear up the message.

I have to say how bad this idea is again because I don't think you know what labels label whores go for!

Here in England, label whores have never mass bought Lacoste and never will do because it's been around so long that it's become a well established label and it's not a fad or trend anymore. Lacoste was massive in the 80s when the football casuals used to rock it on the terraces (not the label whores prancing around Carnaby Street!) but it's never been in and out of fashion since then, it's just stuck around. Go to Spain and France and everybody wears Lacoste, young and old. It's their equivalent of adidas or nike.

At the moment in England its those fucking awful Von (Dick) Dutch trucker caps and tees. If you want to use a label and associate it with label whores, get the right one first and please don't on't bring Lacoste down with your terrible design ideas.

I like the idea, don't like the color. It would be better if it where on a darker shirt.

I love the poking fun at preps shirts. I bought a shirt today that said "My Other Shirt Has It's Collar Up". It would tottaly bomb on here, but I thought it was insanely funny.

tojo - nice attempt at showing off, but you can't even spell Versace never mind own a pair!

respect to burn - chill the F*?! out! the man has obviously hit a nerve with you on this one, and in my eyes your coming across as a 'wanna be' football hooligans of the 80's. the football season has started again so go and cause agro with some of your fellow Lacoste wearers instead of having a go in what was once a nice tempered website for people sharing their ideas.

respect to burn - but i do have to agree with you that it is a terrible design!

Poor ould respect to burn. forced to give up running around on the football terraces due to eating too many chips. Still likes his Kappa and Lacoste, and Kreinertsen irked him by cutting down his last remaining heroes. From his stoic defence of Lacoste rather than paying attention to the tshirt itself, he obviously gets a lot of stick from the local yoot, for wearing his old t-shirts still.

amen, hammond.

not that it's really relevant but this design reminded me of a notorious BIG line

"I'm sewing tigers on my shirts

and alligators

you wanna see the inside, huh

I'll see ya later"
