nice! think about removing the "I'm" and the last explanation mark, perhaps. cool though.

add a little text buble to the text, and maybe move the placement to the microwave. very cute.

Now this is something I'd buy and wear proudly. I must say I'd love to see the microwave at the bottom corner for a "punch line" effect.

So I'll put I'd buy this, but I won't rate it as high as I normally would when I see a submission I like, because of that one thing I'd like to change.

I think all the Grammar Avengers out there would be happy to see an apostrophe between those "I"s and "M"s. You know something like "i'm" or even "I'm". All right, all right, but seriously folks... It made me laugh and it makes me laugh. I'd like to see a detail of the images, but if it is how I imagine them, they look good.

I agree with the last comment that the microwave needs to be moved so it looks isolated. However, without seeing it in other places, I don't know exactly where it needs to go.
temerson
temerson on Aug 14 '04
well I tried it out of line and it broke the line of sight. And actually, the missing apostrophe is a product of my own negligence. It won't be missing if this gets printed.

anybody catch the title yet? it still makes me chuckle.

RespectToBurn on Aug 14 '04
I like this and I'd wear it.

I'd make the print a bit less wide though because you're gonna lose some of the edges once its put on a person. The extreme edges may disappear under the pits.

NIce -- like it -- would wear it -- only comment is that i would make the whole composition a bit smaller and center it -- it is a bit too big -- would be a bit more precious if it were smaller and have maybe a cooler handwriteing type --

i like this concept... the style of the images of the fans don't match up with the style of the microwave... if that was fixed, and word balloons added, i'd rank it higher.

clever. i like it, but i think it works without the microwave. and maybe a different font would work better, too.

I have to agree with Drown here - the microwave should be moved. I'd love to see it on the upper back of the shirt. It's something people might not notice till the second or third time you wear it, so it'd be fun to see your friends slowly notice the punchline.

Love your work, it's a great concept. You could drop a couple of fans and tuighten the design up.

I think the microwave being on the upper back of the shirt is a great idea - go with that! Apart from that I love it! :)

ha ha. funny graphic.

still wouldnt buy it as a t-shirt.

this would be much better as a sappy greeting card. with an inside that reads "I'm sorry for missing your birthday," or such.
Razoric
Razoric on Aug 15 '04
horrid for a shirt design... wouldnt even look right if you're wearing it. voted 0
Tautolog
Tautolog on Aug 16 '04
I like the design, but agree with the previous comments of moving the microwave to a more discreet position. Removing it completely would take some of the hilarity away from the shirt, and cheapens the joke. To keep line of site, the groupe of fans could be centered on the front, and maybe the large fan could be centered within the design. But i'll give this a 4 and a "i'd buy this!" check.

temerson on Aug 16 '04
thanks for the comments. actually I printed this shirt at a local screen printing place along with some others of mine to wear for school. it looks dandy. I think it's only funny on a tee shirt. It wouldn't make a good poster, or bumper sticker, or greeting card. That would be a crappy greeting card. I gets lots of laughs and alot of people say it has a great style, even without the joke.

Actually, though, I hate it. I hate all of my own work because I don't like my style. So I tend to agree with those who criticize it although I don't like the fact that they do.

And if this doesn't get printed, I'm going to try Tautolog's suggestion.

wow wicked shirt. random bitmaps and gorgeous placement - not. anyway - if i don`t like it who cares, so i´d keep quiet. PLEASE - if you comment others stuff next time u better read this first: "If you're going to criticize, be constructive and respectful about it." ever heard of that one? but cheers anyway. no beef - but respect. peace out and rock on. mr.gregg.

"Actually, though, I hate it. I hate all of my own work because I don't like my style. So I tend to agree with those who criticize it although I don't like the fact that they do."

Then why continue to make shirts and submit them if you hate your work? And you don't like the fact they criticize it even though you agree with them? wtf

temerson on Aug 16 '04
It's like hearing your own recorded voice. I'm never happy with the work I've done, and I never will be. Others, however, are. I love being praised for the work that even I myself am criticized for. Does that make sense?

^ This makes me love you. Aw. I feel the same way about everything I do as well. Doesn't it suck? (Incidentally, I also despise the sound of my own voice recorded)

Nice title and design. :) I pretty much agree with the consensus: move the microwave so it has more of an impact. Don't put it on the back, though--I have long hair that covers any back-graphics. Just put it underneath and center everything. Also, you might want to change the font to a sans-serif and put the words in little comic style speech bubbles.

*thumbs up*

Man... I totally submitted the one with the back graphic a few days ago. I'll write down your username though and e-mail you because this shirt (with the microwave on front) is going to sell online on my website in a few weeks. Sorry man.

_WAY_ better than the one with the microwave on the back. Having both elements visible at once prevents it from being mistaken for a simple stupid pun (which might be the case if someone were to see just the front with the fans and not the back with the microwave).

Did you ever decide to sell this on your site? I'd still buy it!
